Nintendo gift card (eshop)

I see you can buy gift cards on paypal now and they sell Nintendo eshop cards.
I live in the US but would like to get the credits in the UK eshop since the games I'm interested in are cheaper over there. 

So can you pick the region of the card?  If i bought a Nintendo eshop card would it be for the US only or would i be able to activate it in the UK eshop?

Thank you for your post! The Digital Gifts page allows the purchase of gift cards in USD only. I regret that I do not know if the merchant will allow the use of a USD gift card for a purchase in the UK eshop. You may wish to reach out to the merchant to inquire before purchasing.
