Refund on a closed bank account

Hello,

This week I received a Paypal notification about a refund I waited from an airline company (they refunded my plane tickets due to the pandemic).

Nice, but I bought these tickets in 2019, and between 2019 and 2021, my bank account changed. And they are doing the refund on my old bank account (which doesn't exist anymore).

What can I do to make the refund goes to the right bank account? (this new bank account is already registered on my Paypal for almost a year).

I don't want to loose almost 800€....

Hey ! You should call Paypal to discuss the issue, overall if they receive the Refund and then transfer it on your account. If not, I guess the refund should be transferred back to the company. You should have to open a claim on the website company to explain your case with all references (ticket number/file...).

Thank you for your answer.
I just checked the transaction in Paypal and it said the refund has been well transferred to this closed account in my previous bank.
I don't know how I will be able to get back my money has it arrived to a bank account that I don't own anymore.

I tried to call Paypal, I wasn't able to call to someone, I only get a recorded voice telling they will calling me back in 1 hour.

Let's hope I didn't loose this money I've saved for years to be able to finally travel abroad...
