How Do I Get My Payment Hold Lifted?

I was told that "From now on, money you receive will be temporarily held in a pending balance." I read all that Guidlines, but it is still unclear to me.  I have a significant amount of $ in my account & I'd like to have it lifted ASAP. I have a few questions about it:

1. Will the hold EVER be lifted?
2. When & how can I get it lifted?
3. Will the payment for items that have been confirmed delivery be released automatically 3 days after?
4. How long will this " Temporary Payment Hold" be in place?

Mine was lifted at the end of the day, on the 3rd day(1/15/12) after delivery confirmation and positive feedback(1/12/12), but i did call to ask when it will be released earlier that morning. I was told "by the end of the day" then "48-72 hours" then the guy said  "by the end of the week"....but thankfully i woke up the next day with a "your funds are available" email
