Help my ebay parcels went to old address......

I moved house 1st April, and had been thru all my online accounts to change address' including ebay and paypal and unbeknown to me that although I had changed the address' on ebay, I hadn't checked one box stating that this was no longer primary delivery address.

Since then I have been ordering items for my new house, only to discover after contacting sellers they were being delivered to my old address. And in total I've lost around £70 on 8 different items.

I have spoken to ebay who say resolve this with the sellers, but its not there fault as I did change the address and also paid thru paypal whom also have my delivery details.

I am confused to why after changing all of my billing, delivery, cardholders etc, address' that neither companies questioned it at all.

I am currently waiting to see if any of the items are returned, but if not would I be entitled to any kind of a refund and if so from whom.....

I am truly pulling my hair out on this one and would really appreciate any advice anybody has

Hey there kitty1680,

I can understand where you’re coming from with this one, after changing the details an all.

The best option would be to contact your sellers to see if the items have been returned or even if you can, check at your old address.

The shipping address is shown to you while going through your payment. If you have any trouble changing this and your old address is still showing please contact PayPal and all connection with this address can be removed from your PayPal account.

I'm having a similar problem. I've ordered a necklace from eBay, and made certain that I checked my current address (As I deleted my old address on PayPal) on PayPal as the shipping address, but it appears that eBay has kept my old address as their primary shipping address, and it seems to be being delivered there!! 

No where in the payment/billing/shipping info did it even say my old address (I believed I had deleted them!).  I only found this out when I saw that my "from" address was listed as my old address. 

How come if I checked one address at the checkout/payment stage, another one is being shown to the sender?

Basically, will the sender see the address I checked on paypal, or the "primary" old address on eBay?!

I know exactly how you feel. Me and my husband ordered some stuff off ebay i.e. an expensive coffee machine. We went through everything and i always check all the details before confirming payment. We had moved three years ago and hadn't used ebay since, so i changed all my personal addresses and deleted the old one.

We were having the coffee machine delivered through a courier so we knew it would be safe, well it didn't turn up so we contacted the seller, and they gave me the link tha showed someone had signed for it.

Well i was so upset, i looked at the order details and found it had been sent to my old address.

This morning i went round there and even offered them money to get my parcel, unfortunatly some not very nice people have moved in there and they wil not give us our stuff back...saying it was never delivered!!

I am stuck what to do next, surely as i have proof i could go to the police for opening and keeping my post...

Well same happened me for two years ive been buyin things off ebay and everything being delivered to my new address !! Then all of a sudden I bought 4things there and was wonderin where they were and what was keepin them being delivered so I checked my paypal and there it was. The four packages I had paid and bought for were being delivered to my old address !!! As my old address only 10 mins walk from me I went and the woman said she had given them back to postman told the postman I didnt live there anymore!! But how do I really know if she give them back to the postman or not? Im gonna ring the sorting office at postoffice to see if they can give me proof of this !!! Im goin to fight this on ebay til I get a full refund or a replacement as it was my money I spent and im not settling for no money and no items !!! And to tat other woman on here YES ring the police you have proof you bought the coffee machine its your go get it back ! Them scumbags stealing your stuff

I just experienced the same problem and I suspect MANY others will to!  I have been ordering items off of ebay for about 8 years at the same current default home shipping address with no problems at all.  The last item I bought was shipped to an old address in the system.  Luckily the seller was nice and we are working it out and I did agree to pay him for shipping.  Either ebay or paypal (or both) have a glitch that is triggering the old addresses to be the new default.  From the hundreds, maybe thousands of complaints others are posting, it is clear that neither company is acknowledging or taking responsibility for the problem or have actively worked to resolve it.  I would love to hear what an ex-employee that worked in their IT department has to say about the origin of this problem (patch/enhancement/etc.) and the folow-on discussions with management and decisions that were made to keep it covered up to avoid liability and loss to the bottom line! Shameful!!!

I am I exactly the same situation as you! She's refusing to give me my parcel even tho the postman described her to a t !! What did you do in this situation? Did u contact your local police? Help please!

I just had the same issue with my order going to my previous address and not sure what to do. I ordered an international Christmas gift for my fiance a bit late knowing it would arrive after Christmas. After not receiving the item I ordered, I contacted the seller who immediately responded by offering a refund. I chose to replace the item instead. Two days after it was sent I decided to go over my account and order conformation and noticed my old address was listed both on Ebay and PayPal when I was sure to enter and update my correct, current address at the time of purchase.I've have had my current address the last 9 months! I did update my address at my local post office and have been receiving my mail at my new address. Other than checking at my still vacant previous home and my post office for any returned packages or any still there and maybe putting a hold on any mail to pick up in person, I'm not sure what to do or why my updated information went back to my old! Searching Ebay's resolution center I couldn't find anything about this situation. Wondering how my info could have reverted back to my old, I did an online search and found many others with the same issue. So there are now two of the same item shipped to the wrong address!
