Is PayPal trying to wear us down?  

 

Nothing works at all. I 've tried link suggested by moderator and still can't get anywhere

 

Phone calls get nowhere except to a high level of frustration!

I can't understand what problem they have. They can easily identify all the payments to Monarch and offer refunds automatically. I've tried several times to raise a complaint only to say there is one already raised, however this doesn't show up anywhere. It's fustraiting and shows PayPals lack of concern for it's customers.

Use the freephone number to call PayPal. When you get the automated message asking you to tell them what you want just keep repeating "Speak to an agent"

i got nowere trying to raise a dispute on their website. Within minutes of actually speaking to an agent she raised a dispute. I have escalated it to a claim today & hope to receive my refund within the next 2 weeks.

i feel PayPal are giving us the runaround as they know that we will NOT get a refund willingly from Monarch yet they are making us go through the whole process within the resolution centre. GOOD LUCK

I spoke to an agent on 2nd October who told me I'd have a refund by 13th October at the latest. Now they are backtracking and saying that because Monarch have replied to them they have to 'go through the process' and it looks like the refund will be at the end of the month.

 

It seems that some people were refunded within 48 hours however Paypal are digging their heels in despite the fact that I was told I'd have my money back within 10 days
