hi,
I have just made a payment to sony, which showed up as cancelled, but charged my account anyway. I recieved emails from my bank that I was charged through paypal to sony but no fund were added to my psn account. In my paypal account it also shows that the transaction status was cancelled, but it made a payment in the amount of 10$ to sony anyway. Will I be getting a refund from paypal for this transaction?

When you pay a seller it is never instant > paypal credit the seller for you and then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal from your funding source.
This is done so you get your item more quickly.
So when you cancel that payment those funds can't do a u-turn > they have to process through to paypal who will then either return them to your funding source (if you paid with a debit or credit card), or credit your paypal balance (if it was funded from your balance or instant bank transfer), but that takes a few days and sometimes up to a week.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

but I did not cancelled my order, I wanted to add funds to my wallet. So if the process isn't instant, then how will i be able to add funds to my psn account? And why isn't the process instant? I recieved an email from my banking account about my payment exactly the moment I clicked the button to accept the payments to sony.
so the money was withdrawn instantly to paypal but not instantly sent to sony, which means that i would never be able to add funds to my psn account?

I've got the same thing.
I always used my US PSN Account and now, when I got the brillant idea to pay the PSN by Paypal, then got a bank statment that I paid to Paypal, and nothing happens in my Sony account.
I'm really frustrated with Sony with this issue, I paid with Paypal and it's not clearly adviced that I couldn't add funds to my US account.
So if this payment really happens on the next credit card bill making me stressing myself to get my money back, I'll sell my PS4, buy an XBOX and Sony will lose a client since the PS1 era!

I have the same problem. They charge my card worth $10 but on my paypal it's cancelled. On my PSN account no amount was added on my wallet. Because of this $10 I don't know if I can still trust PSN on purchasing much higher amount.
I wanted to purchase more games by adding funds to my PSN wallet through paypal. I wondered why it is cancelled and why do they have to took my money?
No reply on PSN, spamming them with complaints will terminate my account.
Will sell my PS4 and I had already ordered XBox one. I hope Microsoft will not be as stubborn as Sony.
