An eBay seller refunded my Paypal payment - it showed as pending for a few days and then just disappeared so I have not received the money. The "refund" does not show at all, not as pending, failed, or removed. The original payment shows in my transaction history and the related ebay transaction still shows the money as refunded.
Can sellers just cancel a pending refund? How do I get my money back - is it best to pursue this via eBay or Paypal?
If you funded the original paypal payment to the seller with a debit or credit card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.
Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your bank account or credit card but takes up to a week to process through to the bank and a bit longer for a c.c.

Other refunds have shown the refund and the move to my credit card. My problem "refund" has completely disappeared, no evidence of the refund or the move to the credit card balance.
