Refund to Credit/Debit card not received after 7 working days.

23rd July: Cancelled payment to seller on eBay as payment gone to incorrect email. 

23rd July 10:12am: Paypal claimed that refund was successfuly sent to 'credit' card. This is actually my Santander Debit card.

02 Augst: No refund received in account. Bank unaware of any payment requests into account. It has officially been 7 working days. Paypal refuse to do a payment trace.

 

Bank claimed that there is no 'back office' that process refund requests to debit card, it is all instant. The card number is associated with the BANK ACCOUNT therefore should go into bank account the same way and same timeframe as a bank transfer does.

 

Contacted Paypal but they're adamant they cannot do anything about it and on their side they have sent the payment.

 

What do I do now? Paypal customer service is absolutely awful.

 

Someone reply ASAP.

Have u bought anything lately as ppal will take the payment from your ppal first

So maybe u have had your refund??

Click "details" on recent purchase(s) in your ppal account scroll down and see how u have paid if this is the case

If it was a card then it won't have been credited to your paypal balance and used to fund purchases.

 

Refunds or cancelled payments from cards go directly back to that card.

 

Normally takes about a week but it could be a bit longer.

 

Don't worry about them saying it was sent to a credit card as paypal call debit and credit cards all credit cards sometimes as they are a US company.

 

I would give it 10-14 days and see if it shows up and if not contact customer services again.

Yes I am fully aware they refer to Credit Card as Credit or Debit card. It has already been 10 days/7working days. No refund in sight. Bank statesmen came today, no refund shown. PayPal refuse to do anything about it.

Payment was not made via PayPal Balance or Bank Payment. It was made via Santander Debit Card linked to PayPal account. Therefore refund was credited to Santander Debit Card. Unfortunately yet to receive. No payments shown in payment history in regards to this money. Thanks.

I understand. PayPal had the audacity to state, wait after 30 days to contact. So waiting another 4 days to make it 14 days & contacting PayPal won't help. Current answers have just basically inferred me to wait. However ultimately to get a resolution, I'm going to have to wait a month for a payment that went through instantly and average waiting time to recur was supposed to be 5-7 working days.

Same issue. Did u guys receive your refund. It has been 9 banking days for me and it still does not show on my debit balance nor paypal balance.
