Hi there, First post - always a question! I bought train tickets via PayPal back in March with a credit card that was linked. I'm getting a refund for the full amount from the Trainline but it occurred to me that that credit card account was closed shortly after. I haven't sent the tickets yet for the refund to be proceeded but I'm a little concerned about where the refund will now go? My bank account and debit card are linked btw. Will I just ask the Trainline to refund to a different source? Or will it just go to whatever card is linked? The old credit card is no longer there. Many thanks in advance Croc

Hi Crocoman67,
Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.
Due to banking regulations a refund of a payment must be sent to the card from which the payment originated. Even when it has been cancelled or has expired, the refund is returned to your card and will be handled by your card issuer. To receive your refund, please contact your card issuer and ask them to locate the refunded amount and to deposit it in the account of your credit card or debit card.
