I purchased a Royal Mail special delivery for an ebay sold item through Paypal. The package wieghed more than I thoulght so I had to pay for a new specila delivery at the post office. I have been round the houses with Royal Mail who state that only Paypal can refund the unused postage. I raised a dispute with Paypal and they have stated that they cannot support the claim. Not sure what the point is of using Paypal if I cannot get a simple refund?

ou can also cancel an unused postage label up to 7 working days from the date of purchase. Here's how:
- Go to Activity.
- Find the payment.
- Select the payment to open the Transactions Details page.
- Near the bottom of the page, click Delete Label.
Royal Mail will be notified of your refund request. If approved, the label purchase amount will be returned to your PayPal account.

Appreciate your feedback but having been passed from pillar to post within Royal Mail and Paypal the 7 days has lapsed.

Well you could have come here and asked OR just stuck ''postage refund'' into HELP at the top of every paypal page and that info would have come up.

and Paypal until at last I spoke to a knowledgeable paypal representative ( the one before that I spoke to gave me the wrong information and said I had to contact Royal
Mail which I did but they don't have a department that deal with PayPal postage refunds) It's Paypal that issue the refunds and I advise if you get fobbed off the first time, keep trying until you speak to an experienced adviser!

Thanks for the feedback but I was passed around so many times I felt like I was in a washing machine. In the end for £11 I was losing the will to live and wrote it off as a bad job. Shame that my first use of the Paypal support structure, the main reason why I used Paypal in the first place, failed to deliver. Probably just use a credit card in future.
