how long does it take for funds to be transferred from band when making a payment?

im with tsb, just paid an email address, and its all gone through successfully. I had no funds in my pay pal account so this is coming straight out of my bank.  the funds have not left my bank, and the reciptant has not got the money yet after 2 days. whats up? my question, is how do i cancle a payment? I called the pay pal number from my mobile but it just discconets all the time. preety woried now, wish I had just paid directly from my bank account to save all this messing about.

It usually takes 3 working days to go into your account. If you don't see it check your transaction history and look for it there, it show if it is completed or not.  In future try transferring funds from your bank to your papal account first, then funds will them be in your paypal account and you won't have this hassle.  Some banks have faster payments systems and i'm not sure if TSB do, but if they don't then you can wait anything from 3 to 5 working days for it to go out of your account, but bare in mind the recipient may have to wait for the funds to clear.  My advice is to just leave the amount you need to pay in your bank account and when it clears it will show on your statement.
