pre paid card problems

Please can someone help

I opened up a prepaid mastercard account with Pockit in the UK.

I used this to manage my ebay sales and transactions.

All was well till I transferred £214 to my Pockit account from paypal.

The transaction went through fine, but POCKIT rejected it for some reason.

The money was not sent back to my PAYPAL account.

Same thing happened 3 days later when I tried to transfer £70 to my POCKIT account

POCKIT claim they have sent my £284 to PAYPAL but PAYPAL have rejected it

I have seen no evidence of this to support their claim

I see nothing on my PAYPAL account

I had no text or email to say POCKIT tried to return the money.

POCKIT are adamant that PAYPAL are holding it but I am very suspicious

They tell me I need to put in a recall of the money now but i dont think i can do that as transaction was completed.

Can anyone help me? Am I right to think POCKIT are being underhand??

Hi winkybanjo, 

Hopefully this has been resolved for you however if not I would suggest asking for a trace to be initiated on the funds for you. We can initiate a trace on our side to see if we can locate the funds. Just give us a call and request that the trace is initiated for you. It can take a week or two to be completed and if we are unable to locate the funds we would request that you reach out to the card issuer to request that they initiate the trace also from their side. You can call us by clicking on the "help&contact" link at the bottom of any PayPal page.

Hi did you ever get this sorted out, I've been using POCKIT with PayPal to buy for a while & how looking into how money paid into PayPal balance can be transferred to my card. As it states it can only be a bank account to withdraw money. Have you here able to continue withdrawing money from balance to your POCKIT card. If so can I ask how you set it up did just just put sort code & account number in. (I've done this but wants conformation number from bank statement) Thank you

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

Depending on the country your PayPal account is registered in will depend on the withdrawal methods available to you. If it is only showing as withdrawal to a bank account it may not be possible for you to withdraw to a card. Please log into your PayPal account, scroll down to "Fees" at the bottom of the page and click on withdrawal. This will show you if a card withdrawal is possible, what card types may be available and any fees applicable for a card withdrawal.
