Error sending an invoice

I am trying to send invoices, but once I enter all of the required information (item description, qty, price, etc.) and hit Preview or Send, I get an error that says "Some of the fields have invalid values. Please correct and try again." However, none of the fields appear to have invalid values. I have started a chat with Support, but so far they just keep telling me the instructions for creating an invoice. I KNOW what the instructions say, and I'm following those instructions, but still getting the error message. Anyone else had this issue or have any ideas for me?

I had the same problem, but it worked when I set the start date to the future. Evidently the start date cannot be prior to the date the invoice is being created.

I figured out my issue. I was getting this error because there were over 100 items in my invoice. I figured it out by starting the invoice with 1 line item, and saving it, then adding 25 items at a time and saving, when it got over 100 items it started giving me the error.
Now that I know that, it would be nice is PayPal could address that particular issue so it won't happen in the future.

I'm having this same exact problem, and it seems to have only started since PayPal redesigned their interface again. I was already annoyed that I had to learn how to use a new interface, but now this? I have noticed that this problem seems to only occur on lengthy invoices. Yesterday, I wrote up an invoice with over 100 items listed and I got the error. After a fruitless phone call with customer service, I decided to try writing up another invoice for a different customer -- this one was only 5 items, and it sent no problem. I have sent dozens of invoices since their interface update and never had this problem, but they've all be 50 items or less.
The error seems to be in PayPal being unable to process such a lengthy invoice; it says some fields have invalid values, but they DON'T. If I remember my JavaScript correctly, fields can be either "string" or "integer." The "quantity" and "price" fields are integers, meaning you MUST enter a number between 1-99999. However, the "Item" and "Description" fields are STRINGS, meaning that any character on the keyboard can be entered into these fields and the program won't care one way or the other; string values are treated as text, while integer values are treated as numbers so that it can calculate totals. I KNOW my quantity and price values are all correct, because the calculated total on the invoices matches up with my paper work order copy. So basically, PayPal is full of s***.
It allowed me to save a draft when the invoice length was smaller, but once I reached a certain point it started giving me the error, even if I just try to save the draft. This problem seems to have been going on since last November and PP STILL HASN'T FIXED IT?????????????

ADDENDUM:
The problem is DEFINITELY with the 100 item mark. I just reduced the number of items on my invoice to 99, then tried to save and it worked fine.
PAYPAL, PLEASE GET THIS FIXED! HOW ABOUT MAILING US A CHECK FOR DOING YOUR **bleep** JOB FOR YOU??? 😡

This error happens to me every day even with a 2 or 3 line invoice. Very frustrating.

Start with a new invoice and in the customer information section only enter the email address.
This is a temporary quick fix until I can resolve this issue.
