I got a letter today that said there is now a fee for paper statements but when I tried to change to paperless I was told I had to close my account. Did anyone else run into this and what is the solution?

Here is the solution -

After signing in you should be at your My Account summary page. Scroll down to PayPal Credit on left side. Tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner. A page will come up with choices. Choose go to PayPal credit and tap. A page will come up where you can choose paperless statements.

Buns2,

Thank you so much for sharing the info on changing to PAPERLESS STATEMENTS...  With all the documentation on PAYPAL why can't they "PAYPAL SYNCHRONY" be as simple as your solution...  NOW I AM PAPERLESS!!!!

I don’t think we should be charged for a paper statement. It is a receipt for doing business and should not be put on the consumer. Every company has business expenses and this charge is nickel and dime the consumer. Immoral charge.

This took me awhile to figured out.  But some of you here did and thank you.  I just though to outline it for those with OCD like me and needed it step by step.

  1. Log in to PayPal.com.
  2. Click on Profile icon (gear.png) next to LOG OUT.
  3. Under the Addresses section, select Manage PayPal Credit mailing address.
  4. If PayPal fails to continue and shows a "Log Back In" error message, click on it until it does successfully.
  5. The website's URL changes from PayPal.com to paypalcredit.syf.com.
  6. Hover on the Activity option from the top menu.
  7. Select Statements.
  8. Follow the instructions for "paperless statements".
  9. To reverse this option follow the same steps and look for an option to "Receive paper statements" at the bottom of the page.
  10. NOTE: the new URL does not work on its own without authentication via PayPal.com.
