Should I close resolution case before receive correct items.

I received an incorrect item, the seller agreed to send out correct item, but the tracking info took a few days so I panicked and opened a resolution case. The seller has now told me that this has stopped others using paypal to buy his goods which I understand is not good. They haved asked me to close it, what should I do? I sympathise with them.

He is talking rubbish an ongoing dispute does not stop a seller selling.

NEVER close a dispute / claim until you have a refund or the item.
If not escalate to a claim before it times out.
Do not close it or he can ignore you and you can't open a second dispute OR re-open a closed one.
