Need Help: PayPal Checkout Issue on Squarespace Site

Hello PayPal Community,

 

IMG35628.pngIMG35629.pngI've recently encountered an issue with PayPal integration on my Squarespace site and am seeking advice on how to resolve it.

I have successfully linked my business PayPal account to my Squarespace site, as confirmed by the backend panel indicating a successful connection. However, my customers are facing difficulties when trying to make purchases. They are receiving an error message stating, “Checkout closed, The Store isn’t set up to accept PayPal yet.”

I'm looking for guidance on how to troubleshoot this issue. Are there additional settings or steps that I need to be aware of to ensure a smooth PayPal checkout process on my Squarespace site?

Any advice or insights from the community would be greatly appreciated!

The PayPal system acts as a payment gateway and is responsible for receiving the payment request payload from merchant websites. This payload includes important information such as payment and item details, shipping details, invoice numbers, and amount details. Once received, PayPal processes the payments accordingly.

 

In terms of website management, it is the merchant's responsibility to handle their website internally. I would strongly recommend cross-checking your internal website code to ensure that you are triggering unique API requests for each order. This will help streamline the payment process and avoid any potential issues.

 

Additionally, I would suggest reaching out to the support team at Squarespace. They should be able to assist you with the setup of plugins/modules and ensure that your website, built using Squarespace, is passing valid API requests to the PayPal system.

 

If you still facing the issue, please create a MTS ticket via -   https://www.paypal-support.com/s/?language=en_US with detailed error information.
