Hi,

I am getting authentication error when trying to an authorization request on Paypal sandbox environment.

Error message: "Authorization failed due to insufficient permissions"

Thank you for contributing to this post. I am not able to locate your Sandbox Rest API app associated with this debug id.

Can you please provide me with the sandbox merchant id associated with your Sandbox Rest API app.

Here is how to find it:

• Log into the developer dashboard at https://developer.paypal.com
• Click on Testing Tools
• Click on Sandbox Accounts
• Click on the email associated with your Sandbox Rest API app
• Scroll down to Sandbox account info
• The Account ID is the sandbox merchant id

Hi @MTS_Jennifer , I am getting the same error message. Could you please enable sandbox accounts (W7A9727QSRJZC and DSEL3GFZ3JCZJ) to do reference transactions and merchant initiated billing? Thanks.

We were able to have our sandbox accounts enabled for Reference Transactions? But how does PayPal suggest that we make this request in the future?
