How do I test Payments with Shopify using PayPal Payflow Pro as primary third party check out????
Im pretty computer savy. Test mode in shopify is useless. I have created sandbox accounts in PayPal developer but just want some clarification on the steps needed when using a ecommerce integration like shopify. Thanks for help please anyone.

Hello,
Thank you for posting to the PayPal Merchant Technical Support Community.
Here are the integration steps for Payflow and Shopify:
Your live Payflow Credentials are the same as your test Payflow Credentials.
If you have a sandbox account attached to PayPal Manager, you will need to make sure that your sandbox account has been upgraded to a Pro Sandbox Account.
If PayPal is your processor you can add a Sandbox Account by doing the following:
- Log into https://manager.paypal.com
- Click on Hosted Checkout Pages in the bottom right
- Click on Setup
- Scroll down to the Express Checkout section
- Paste in the Sandbox Email address for your Business Pro Sandbox Account
- Turn on Secure Token
- Save Changes
Shopify requires the Secure Token to be turned on to process Test or Live payments, so that is why I am having you turn on the secure token.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Just tried it did NOT work. Says invalid Vendor. Yes token is on, Yes I added email in express checkout... Is there a number or someone can give me it step by step?I have soooo many questions once again I did feel are being answered.... Why is there no CVV code in Sandbox under funding for the credit card provided to test? Do I need Test mode in shopify on?

Hello,
Thank you for responding. Yes you need to be in Sandbox/test in Shopify to process payments. Usually when you get an Invalid vendor it means either your credentials are incorrect or you are attempting to process test payments while you are pointed to live servers.
You can setup Shopify to request CVV.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Hello,
Thank you for getting back to me. I thought you were stating that the CVV requirement was not showing on your shopping cart.
Here is some information on what CVV number to use with Sandbox Transactions:
Here is a list of test cards:
https://developer.paypal.com/docs/payflow/payflow-pro/payflow-pro-testing/
You can also use the random card generator within PayPal Developer it will give you an EXP date and a CVV along with the card number.
- Log into PayPal Developer by going to the Log into Dashboard at the top left https://developer.paypal.com
- Scroll down to Credit Card Generator
- Choose the card type
- Click Generate CC
You will be able to use the card for testing in Sandbox with the EXP and CVV that is provided.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Hello,
If you are still receiving invalid vendor your credentials are either invalid, or you are posting to the Live Server with a test Payflow Account.
Make sure that Test is turned on in Shopify.
Also create a new user in PayPal Manager for testing:
- Go to https://manager.paypal.com
- Click on Account Administration
- Click on Add User under Manage Users
- Create a new user (User name cannot have any spaces or special characters)
- Pre-defined Role should be API_FULL_TRANSACTIONS
- Fill in the rest of the information
- Click update
Configure Shopify, make sure that Test Mode is check marked since you are testing.
- Configure the required settings:
- Test mode - leave check
- Merchant login - Enter your merchant login ID.
- USER Password - Enter your user password. (New User you just created)
- Manager Partner - Enter the name of your manager partner.
- Cart Specific User - Enter the name of the cart specific user that you just created.
- Enable Express Checkout - Check the box.
- Credit Cards accepted - Select the credit cards you want to accept.
- Click Activate.
As long as you use the new user credentials and you are pointed to test, you should be able to process payments.
Thank you,
Jennifer
