Good day @JohnTR1,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.

If you have integrated our latest PayPal Checkout (Smart button).

I request to please follow the below steps to create LIVE REST API credentials via your PayPal account.

Login to https://developer.paypal.com/  >> My apps & credentials >> toggle "LIVE" >> create "App" >> fill required details >> you can able to access your REST API (Client ID & Secret).

Once you create LIVE REST API credentials (Client ID & Secret), please enter/pass the Client ID in your button code as below.

<script src="https://www.paypal.com/sdk/js?client-id=Enter the client ID value here&currency=USD" data-sdk-integration-source="button-factory"></script>

Note : PayPal Website Payments Standard (WPS) is a legacy integration, please cross check and use LIVE PayPal account or email address details in your button code.

Also, please contact your website developer or support of eCommerce to cross check your eCommerce account settings and toggle to LIVE.

Sincerely,

Chiranjeevi

Hi Chiranjeevi,

Thank You for your reply to my query regarding paypal buttons going to the sandbox ,I now have the live credentials (Live app and secret) however the buttons I currently have on my website are the old type of PayPal buttons with the codes already created, all I did was copy them into my website store pages, I have been informed that PayPal recently changed the status and I now have to create the button codes myself, and the old ones will not work , I have no idea how to do this and am at a loss about whom I can ask about creating a standard or advanced store as I am not a developer although I did build my website using  Serif WebPlus X8 software which I currently have on my desk top, I have checked out the video tutorial for creating the standard store and as I am not a professional developer I find the video very difficult to follow, as I say I already have my own store pages on my website and only require updates button codes if these are still available could you please let me know how I can access them (ie primarily I would like to just copy the codes onto the various store pages of my website) or if this not possible I would be pleased if you could direct me to a developer who specialises in adding eCommerce to websites without them having to do a complete site re-build, or if you could provide me with an easy set of instructions to follow regarding the above,as I say I only require a means by which my customers are able to buy from  my website and adding PayPal option would achieve this, I would really appreciate if you could assist me with this, many thanks

regards

John
