Paypal accepts INR as currency code?

I am using paypal developer account for my wallet application created with region INDIA. When i tried to access APIs with "USD" currency code it is working fine but throwing exception while i use "INR" as currency. Is it true that paypal is not accepting in INR or i am missing any configuration?

"INR" is not a PayPal supported currency code.
