Hi, I am looking to debug an issue with our active live PayPal account so have created and connected a sandbox environ.

In order to use it I need to verify the email address used but no email verification mail has been received despite several attempts to resend

Hello,

If you create the sandbox account via the developer site, the account will be associated with your developer account and you'll find the emails for all sandbox accounts within the notifications section of your developer account.

If you create the sandbox account via https://www.sandbox.paypal.com it will not be automatically associated with a developer account and therefore won't be able to send emails relating to that account. There used to be a link above the "accounts" page in the developer site to allow you to link a sandbox account to a developer account, but this link was removed recently due to a technical issue, but we hope to have the link re-instated within a week or so and you'll then be able to link these sandbox accounts to a developer account and thus receive emails related to the account, such as payment confirmation emails.

Thanks !

This is something I am having a bit of frustration with as well. I am trying to verify an email for an account created in the sandbox sign up. The documents say they allow us to create accounts in sandbox, but will not allow us to verify the account in a real email.

I have read that to get this working you have to somehow either link this account to a developer account since the sandbox does not send emails but sends a notification to the developer account. But I think the linking is deprecated because I cannot seem to find this in the developer accounts anymore.

Absolutely boggled at the point of this. So any account created in Sandbox is unverified, but to verify it is impossible.

Thanks.

Can I confirm so that if we create a new sandbox account via this link: https://developer.paypal.com/developer/accounts/ it will work as expected now?

Hello,

Yes, if you create an account via the "accounts" section in PayPal Developer, the account should be created with an already confirmed email address and it will be associated with your developer account.

If you add an additional email address to the account manually, you will need to confirm it. You should find the email confirmation email within the "notifications" section of your developer account. If you don't happen to see one, go back to the section where you added the email address and you'll see a button "confirm", click on that button and then check the "notifications" section in PayPal Developer and you should see the email after a minute or two at most.

Thanks !
