Unable to create Sandbox Account approved as PayPal Giving Fund charity

I am working with a charity that is an approved PayPal Giving Fund charity in the US, and I am trying to help them integrate a better donations flow on their homepage which can automatically update donation goals etc. To be able to test this out in the Sanbox environment, I tried to create a sandbox business account and enroll it as a "sandbox charity", but I am only given an error when I do so:

Your business classification is not eligible

To confirm your charity, your service keyword must be Charitable and Social Service Organization.

I have not found anywhere I can edit my "service keyword" to be able to enroll in as a test charity. Have anyone looked into this before or have any idea of how I can mark my sandbox business as "Charitable"?

Thank you for posting to the PayPal Sandbox Community.

If your sandbox account is a business, you can try to update the Business type to Non-profit organization.

Here are the steps:

• Log into your business sandbox account at https://sandbox.paypal.com
• Hover over your name at the top right
• Choose Account settings
• Click Business information
• Click update
• Click Edit in the first box where it shows the name of the business
• Change the Business type to Non-profit organization
• Click Save Changes

Only Sandbox Business accounts can change their business type to non-profit, since Sandbox Premier and Sandbox Personal accounts require an upgrade to a Business account to update their business type.

Thank you for the assistance. Your response was very helpful to help me realize why I could not find the right location to do this change. Because the personal PayPal account that I am registered with on developer.paypal.com is from outside the US, the "default" sandbox account that had been created for me in the Developer Portal was also created with country set to "my country"/something other than the US. When I tried to follow your suggestions, there was no selection for Non-Profit in the Business Type dropdown (probably because non-profits are only supported inside the US).

Once I realized that there should be an option for Non-Profit in that dropdown (I had looked at it previously) it quickly became apparent that I probably needed a US sandbox business account. Once I created a new sandbox business account, with country selected as USA, I was able to follow your instructions and it has solved my issue. Thank your for the consise and to the point instructions.
