Am I still under buyer protection using a freight forwarder to ship from US to EU

As stated, If I'm going to buy something that doesn't ship outside of US and I use a freight forwarder that ships to Europe, am I still under buyer protection? I'm buying something for a $1.9k so just want to be sure, thanks.
