Friends & Family with PayPal balance

Hi,

If I was to send money to a acquaintance via Friends & Family using PayPal balance, would it still be possible to dispute the transaction or file a charge back? To clarify, I would be using PayPal balance to send money via Friends & Family option. Is there any way for me to dispute the transaction since I am not going to be using a credit/debit card or bank?

No. PayPal Buyer protection and seller protection does not apply to friends and family payments as they are considered “gift” payments.
