My main issue is that I have a refund I'm unable to access in my Paypal Account.
The backstory is that I opened the account when I was 16 not realizing at the time it was against the TOS - because it was the easiest/safest way at the time to use my own debit card online.
I've continued to use this account with no issues whatsoever for the past 15 years. Upon getting married and changing my name, Paypal have decided to freeze the account and make it completely unusable.
This wouldn't be an issue, except for the fact that I had paid for goods prior to the freeze that have since been refunded. As I'm not allowed to use this account anymore, Paypal are witholding the refund. I have called customer service, spoken to security and service staff who told me the matter would be escalated. I've also tried the help FAQ and online chat functions with frustratingly little success.
It's been over a week since my hour on the phone and I haven't heard anything back - I'm assuming it's either lost in a busy time or I will just never hear back. The refund is a considerable amount of money to me and I am beyond frustrated that it is being withheld from me with little to no notice or real reason, since I'm well above legal age to be using paypal when this transaction was entered into and when the refund was issued.
