I have a $1000 charge in my online banking labeled AUSPC JPMC PAYMENT 2047. When I look it up it suggests that it is affiliated with Paypal however there is no paypal transaction for that amount. Can anyone help me?

Same thing happened with us. The JPMC is a lock box account for the IRS for payments sent to the Charlotte office. We also sent a physical check for another back payment for 2020 (the above stuff was a2021 estimated tax) in the beginning of August, 2 days after receiving the IRS notice. The IRS cashed the check on Aug 13 but then 3 weeks later just sent another late notice for the original payment that we already made plus additional interest for another month. The IRS is WAY BEHIND in processing and correlating your payments with your account (even after cashing your check it doesn't get credited in real time).....ugh!!!!

If you bought something online with a debit or credit card and didn't log into your Paypal account then of course it won't show on that Paypal account because you bought as a guest buyer.
However your seller may have processed that payment using their Paypal 'card reader' and so Paypal would show on your bank or card statement.

If that is not the case then contact customer services and your card issuer to query the transactions.

You don't have Paypal buyer protection cover as a guest buyer but you can contact customer services and they may be able to assist you by reaching out to the seller for you.
So If you need help for a guest buyer transaction then you can;

1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will help you.
OR
2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.

Advice is voluntary.

I recently made a 2nd quarter paper check payment to the IRS for estimated 2021 taxes (1040-ES). The check was made out to the Unite States Treasury, and was mailed to a PO box as directed on the coupon that accompanied the check. The first quarter payment made in April cleared my bank in the normal manner, but according to my bank, this one was converted to an "electronic transaction", and my bank can give me no information about who "AUSPC JPMC" is or why it was handled differently than the April check.

Speaking to anyone at the IRS is practically impossible especially since Covid so I don't know if the payment was properly credited to me or not.

Has anyone else had this experience? Is AUSPC a legitimate repository for funds sent to the US Treasury?

Our most recent IRS estimated payment was also converted to an electronic check and had code AUSPC JPMC.  From googling it, it looks like AUSPC stands for Austin Submission Processing Center and JPMC stands for JPMorgan Chase.  I feel better seeing that there are others on here who noticed the same thing.  Maybe they're having to do it that way because of the backlog from Covid and IRS handling all the Stimulus payments?

Thank you for letting me know others have had this experience. I could not imagine someone stealing an IRS check, but these days anything seems to be possible!

I also had this exact same experience. I made my 2nd quarter payment via check. The payment posted to my bank statement but it’s not showing as a check and I can’t see the check image. It looks like an electronic payment to a company other than the IRS (AUSPC JPMC). Really strange.

I just had my paper check submitted to the IRS for the 3rd quarter payment (1040-ES) cashed on the same manner, AUSP JPMC, and it’s different from the two previous. Apparently that’s how they’re processing everyone’s payments. I had to submit a registered letter to inquire about my payments since I have received two notices from the IRS billing me for the full 2021 tax amount. They are way behind processing everyone’s taxes and payments. S. R. Miami, FL

I made my 2nd quarter tax payment by check and just noticed the same thing on my back statement with no explanation of who is AUSPC  JPMC.

Very frustrating especial  when it says debit. I called the bank and they say they can't figure it out either... is this a Fraudulent activitiy> is it the IRD? what ever it is the banks need to know and explain what's going on.

I know I didn't use my Debit card today, because I was traveling  and no where near anyplace where I would make suck a large transaction.
