Is GoFundMe a security risk when using PayPal to donate?

Within the PayPal interface I received a request for $460.01 from an outlook email address with a full name (including middle name). The message I got read "Your account has been accessed fraudulently,if you didn't make this transaction of $460. 01,Call us[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]to cancel and claim refund." This happened after I donated to a GoFund Me campaign that is unrelated. I suspect GoFund Me has been hacked for PayPal phishing. Anyone else experience this?

I received a very similar request; although, I have not made payments on GoFundMe for a couple years.  I simply forwarded the Paypal notification email to the phishing@paypal.com then Cancelled the request.  I wouldn't worry about it.  It's just another phishing scam and they could have found your email associated with Paypal from many places.
