Is this a legit PayPal email address for receiving a payment

Hi everyone,

I am selling an item. I received a PayPal email stating the funds have been deducted from the buyers account. The email came from [removed]. As far as I know the email should end in PayPal.com. Is this a scam email address

Well you don't get emails stating that, if the funds are deducted from the buyers account then they would instantly show in your balance.

Even if pending or on hold they would still show in your paypal balance as soon as the buyer paid.

I have just received a similar mail from "paypal" ?
The payment of £2,450.00 from Alan [removed] is on temporary hold.[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]         
 

This payment has been received and deducted from your buyer's account, However this will not appear in your PayPal account History. Thanks for using PayPal. 
We want you to be aware that this is our new policy to verify pick up agent fee before the accreditation of payment.

They are then asking me to send the pick up and transfer fee via Western Union to another address!!!

Yep common scam, paypal does not tell you to use western union or any other rival payment processor to pay any couriers fees.
