Is this a scam or not? What do you think?

Someone is trying to send me money from a paypal business account. However, they require me to pay €100 in Bitcoin somewhere because apparently there are fees from PayPal. Is this a scam?

hello @mon27 , yes it is a scam.

one does not pay to receive one's initial money.
if there are fees then, they are deducted directly from the money received.
If your paypal account doesn't show money on it, it doesn't exist.

You never pay any upfront fee as a seller.

Ignore scammers that send fake Paypal emails telling you that you need to pay an upfront fee to verify/upgrade/or any other reason to 'accept' a payment.

You would certainly never have to send funds via another payment processor/bitcoins/ or tokens/vouchers of any sort.

Any fee is auto deducted by Paypal at the same instant the remainder of the payment is credited to your Paypal account balance.

No funds in your balance = you have not yet been paid, even pending/held payments will still show in your Paypal account activity.

I'm pretty sure it is. I used the email address from the scam email they sent to look them up in PayPal and send them a money request, it was a different person. No reply on the money request yet and the woman who contacted me through Instagram is giving me the run around.
