My Facebook has been hacked and a payment made

On Friday afternoon, somehow, my Facebook was hacked I'd not clicked on any links etc but some very vile content was posted and I was immediately banned, I've not tried to set up a new account since as I've been reading a large scale issue, I've just woken up to a notification that a payment of 258 pounds was made to Facebook at 1am, I was fast asleep, I've reported as not me and pre authorized payments have been cancelled but it doesn't seem to have cancelled this transaction itself? I don't have £200 spare to cover it as I'm disabled with children with disabilities, is there a way to ensure that this payment can be stopped before they try and take it? Despite reporting it its not a case in the resolution center and its still innthe history, so I'm scared to death it'll get taken out

My fb was hacked last week, I contacted Meta and opened cases on PayPal who promptly closed the case on all 7 payments in THEIR favour, saying the payments were 'not unauthorised' . You can contact your bank and tell them what's happened, then remove PayPal from your direct debits so they don't have access to your bank. My bank recalled all the payments so I'm not out of pocket, but now PayPal are chasing me to cover the debt as they can't recover it from my credit card either (it expired and I never updated it)

Oh my days, how on earth can this be allowed to happen in the year 2022, it's absolutely madness.

PayPal found against me, I didn't authorize this payment, my account was hacked, it's permanently deleted and banned, and yet they just close the case, I've explained I'm disabled, my wide has sever bipolar, this amount of money means no heating or food for a few weeks! I've submitted a formal complaint, but I'm at a loss, I assume no one from PayPal will ever look down here? I'll be taking this to the FSA next, reddit alone shows just how big an issue this is, Facebook must be making a mint and PayPal too from the fees, all for ghost transactions while victims are left with no money, food or heating.

Same with me. The hackers got into my FB even though I had two form authentication. They deliberately post content that they know will get the account disabled by FB bots and this prevents you from doing anything as they also FB basically has zero customer service. I had used FB for ads and the hackers have used it to buy meta gift cards. Fortunately this was under a direct debit which I have stopped. If PayPal come looking for the money they can whistle for it. FB should be hammered over this. Anyone paying for anything using FB is at risk. Total disgrace.
