This morning my friend got emails about confirming transactions he didnt initiate, so he closed account to prevent more money being stolen. He has transactions ids sent to his email and has recipients emails that were on reciving end of transaction. About 45EUR. First email saying he sent 5EUR to someone. And 2nd and 3rd emails saying that he authorized paymant of, first 10EUR, and second 30EUR

This happened to me today too! From 3 pm-7 pm EDT. 20+ transactions for $19.99. Someone had hacked my account and added a business account with their name but my info! PayPal has not responded (other than chatbot). I’ve frozen my bank account and alerted my credit card companies - so sorry this happened to your friend!!! I can’t believe they allowed someone to add a business account to mine without any verification from me! Best of luck.

Hello @Golelego and @HeatherM650

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you or your friends have experienced unauthorized activity. I can certainly understand how concerning of a situation this must be. Normally, if you have access to your PayPal account, we would recommend reporting the activity through our Resolution Center before anything else. We don't normally recommend closing the account as our Resolution Center will guide you through the appropriate steps to report the transactions as unauthorized and help you secure your account.

@Golelego, I would recommend having your friend reach out to our Customer Support teams to see what options may be available.

Good luck!

That is kind of a problem considering he doesnt have his account anymore because he deleted it once transactions he didnt initiate started. And reporting trough my account would be misleading for your team considering i need to choose a transaction to report and there is no problem with my account. Thanks in advance.

@Golelego, sorry for any confusion. Yes, we would not recommend trying to report the activity from your friend's account through your Resolution Center. Since the account is closed, you would want to forward them the link I provided above to our Customer Support.

Best wishes to you both!

All options of refunding money on customer support require him to have account so he can report transaction. Is there a way to refund it without his account.
