I agree with you. My son recvd a "vanilla gift card" on Xmas. Not only does he not have a pay pal account, he has never used this gift card. Today when we tried to, these ppl "Bui NGOC dien took all of it but . 01 cent on 12/31/21 of course.. not that this matters, but my son is also special needs and wouldn't have or either have I, put a PayPal in his name. Again, this is a never used bought on 12/23/21 for $50 for his Xmas. This is sad. I'm already doing a claim with Vanilla, but reading all these stories makes me sick. I'm going to better business bureau to report pay pal and anyone and anything else that had anything to do with this. So it's not some surprise charge we made and forgot and anything like that. There's been many GC scams in last years and I'm sure way before then. I am and will get that $ for him if it takes my life time doing so. I'm tired of these ppl just getting away with this crap and esp to kids. Sick of it!
