Payment sent to wrong person

I have sent a money to the wrong address. Realized and tried to cancel but was already accepted. Went to disputes and when I click on the transaction, it does not give any contact information for me to ask for the money back. It also won't let me start a dispute with PayPal. Have tried multiple avenues to contact someone at PayPal (phone, message) am cut off. Is there anyway to stop this money from going to the wrong person? Why can't I communicate with anyone from PayPal!?!?!

If you sent the funds using the friends/family option and its SENT then all you can do is email the 'wrong' email address and request that the recipient refunds, however as you would have no buyer protection with friends/family payments you can't force them to do so. Your other option is if you funded the payment via a credit card then see if they will chargeback for you BUT they may decline as well for the same reason ie gift payment.

If you used goods/services then again request a refund (minus any fee the person was charged as it was your error), if they refuse then open a dispute for non receipt of item as that person has nothing to send you...and go from there.

Lastly if its showing as pending/unclaimed with a cancel option then cancel it, if not it should time out at 30 days.
