Hi. I stupidly bought some heaters from youtube ads, paid thru paypal. The heaters came of course not as described. I created a case first to dispute with the seller. They auto-replied with a link which none responds. I changed my paypal case to unauthorized payment. Paypal replied that the payment has been authorized then closed it. I can't see where I can appeal it or change the classification so at least I get my money back if paypal keeps letting others get scammed. Does anyone have any idea what/how to do? Thanks

A dispute for an unauthorised transaction is telling paypal that your account was hacked and used without your consent to make that transaction.
Paypal would check IP addresses and devices and close the dispute if it was you that made the transaction.
Why didn't you open a dispute for non receipt of item or service?
You are only allowed 1 dispute per transaction so the only way you can get a second dispute opened is to contact Paypal and see if they will open a second dispute for you.
If not then if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then consider contacting your card issuer and see if they will help you with a chargeback?

Well, I for instance opened a dispute for non receipt of item or service. PayPal changed it voluntarily to something else and then closed it.
So I too have the same question as the topic starter: just how exactly do you contact Paypal to see if they will open a second dispute. So far didn't find a way.

You are allowed x1 thread on the same topic on this forum.
You have 2 threads going and now posting on someone else's thread.
Wait till you get a reply on one of your own threads?

Why is it not ok to comment on someone else's thread? I thought it's a community where people can comment on each other's posts? Let me know, if this is otherwise.

Comment away if you are posting information to help them with their query, you are not.
Your question is not the same.
So if folks post asking another question the original poster gets an email to say that you have posted on their thread, then they log in to see the 'answer' to their question only to see you asking another question.
