Restore permanently limited account

My account was permanently banned in 2020 after I was scammed; long story short: made a retinoid (dermatologist prescribed skin cream)soon after completing the purchase I realized that I was able to check out without providing my prescription which could only mean it was a scam site. I immediately requested a refund (like an idiot) from the merchant instead of just requesting the refund from my PayPal account. The merchant then used 5 different PayPal accounts to send back my funds but stating that each amount was a purchase they'd made from me and one of the amounts was so obviously sketchy (90 cents, what can anyone but for 90 cents??) Merchant turned around and then requested refunds before I was able to act which then ended with my account being in the status it's currently in. I contested in and provided screenshots of the website, screenshots of the site my payment was redirected and processed on (another reason I panicked and realized the sure was a scam), screenshots of the communication I had with them via email and chat, etc but PayPal only responded with copy-and-paste script which so obviously showed that nothing was reviewed or even escalated. It was immensely frustrating. Anyway checking back to see anyone has any advice regarding getting the account back or if I should just make another account or PayPal alternatives they recommend because this experience has really left a sour and bitter taste in my mouth; especially considering I'd had a spotless record with PayPal for the 9 years I'd been with them until then.Thank you so much everyone

You need to contact customer services to resolve any limitation or account specific issues.
Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

I wouldn't open another account as that one would be banned as well.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you for your response. So I was in contact with customer service, providing them with more than the requested info and that's when I kept getting the same copy-and-paste responses that showed they weren't even viewing the documentation (I worked in customer service so I was extra patient and thorough in the communication I provided knowing first hand how challenging the job can be, so it was extra frustrating to have it not escalated and handled with the same copy-and-paste method when I always tried to go above and beyond when I worked customer service, even if it meant the number of resolutions achieved each shift were lower, I almost never had recurring inquiries). Anyway don't have FB or Twitter but guess I could create an account to reach out (don't mean to complain but the fact that we have to go off our actual accounts to get results is mind numbing, ugggh). I'm considering calling them but don't know how efficient that method is? Would you recommend it?
