Scam from 163.com email

I ordered a kayak through a google ad and the company keeps switching sites. All of the sites they use are clothing or leather bags They will not respond and paypal is siding with them even though they are fraudulent. Any suggestions?

Ordered a generator. The "company" sent no shipping or payment confirmation. When I emailed them thru a email address found on my PayPal receipt, I emailed 12 times. No answer whatsoever. Scam for sure. kwgtah163.com

I had a similar issue recently. The product ad was for power tools on FB Marketplace. It instructed people to buy directly from their website and use a provided coupon code. The ad specifically talked about how they used PayPal and lauded the protections Paypal offers so buying would be safe. The site looked professional, and the code worked, but the payment page listed a company name in Chinese characters and didn't match the website in any way. Product never showed, but the payment recipient ("seller" seems inaccurate somehow) sent a message relayed through PayPal including a valid USPS tracking number to my zipcode. A scammer doesn't have to hack the post office... if they can acquire a list of tracking numbers by zipcode, it's enough to provide any tracking number that matches your zipcode as "evidence" they delivered to your address. Luckily, I payed through PayPal using VISA, who also offers fraud protection.

I am in the middle of a similar situation with a website willhappys.com.  I have been asked to wait a few more days for tracking to show up.  PayPal is "deciding " on the case, but if they side with seller when no product was shipped,  then this will be my last transaction ever with them (PayPal). It does seem that they have strayed far from the safe payment system.

I ordered a paddle board from a Google link in August 2021 (originated on instagram). Price was a bit lower than other sale sites for like item, but the web page seemed legit. I paid via PayPal and got an order confirmation from a at-163.com email. Seemed a bit wierd but again, just enough legitimacy that I felt good. I got a shipping/tracking number from the same email a couple days later which tracked the package to the production facility in China. This was just as the "shipping issues" started developing on the West coast in the states. I chalked up the slow shipping to that. I can now say with certainty and chagrin that I was scammed. I wish Paypal/Googke/Instagram would ferret out these obvious (in hindsight) scammers.

Me too have same problem and I ordered a Table Tennis and seems paypal doesn't care if someone is using paypal to scam people. Below is waht I am writing to paypal in response to a closed case and as usual, paypal is unfair and can't be trusted..........    What do you mean, it wasn't a billing issue. If there is a seller who is promising a product, charging money though paypal and not sending product, what issue is that. So now paypal, doesn't care if scammers use paypal platform to scam people. Please relook into the case and share, what response you got from Seller, who never sent product and no response on email, no way to call them. Or if it was technical issue that I was charged but order didn't go though in their system.

This happened about an hour ago. I placed an order from what I thought was Shark Vacuums, website looked legit, an early Black Friday Sale. As soon as I saw the weird email address when my Paypal payment was processed, I started Googling. Immediately filed a dispute with Paypal to reverse the charges and filed a complaint with FTC with the only info I have. Fake website sharkv.usa.com, but that takes you to a site named Shark Clean Outlet that looks legit. The email on my Paypal invoice ends is that 163.com. And I'm bored at home, so I made sure to sign that email up to various "adult entertainment" email lists. Just makes me feel better until I know Paypal protects me like they claim to do. There's no way a tracking number and proof of delivery will hold up when I immediately caught this and disputed it. I tried to post the scammers Paypal email, but Paypal protects that info lol. How sweet. To be continued....
