I asked PayPal to check a payment I made for goods that I didn’t receive and they said everything was good. Now I can’t report to try and get my money back. What to do?

Did you open a dispute for non receipt of item?

Did your seller provide a tracking number?

If not did you escalate the dispute to a claim?

Did you lose because a tracking number showed delivery of the item to you?

I'm not OP, but I have the exact same problem as OP. My claim was closed from PayPal saying that everything looked good—even though I sent a screenshot of the email correspondence and a screenshot of the sketchy-looking purchase page on that website that make it very clear that it was a scam. My screenshot shows the sketchy "confirmation" email with no confirmation number, my email immediately asking for a confirmation number, and my repeat email weeks later. I never got any emails from them (not even in my spam box) nor did I get shipment confirmation, so a tracking number is out of the question. I never got the package either. I'm really frustrated that I have no way of getting my money back, and I wish that I had looked up this website first.

I tried everything but PayPal said they checked and nothing was wrong. I have been in touch with the girl several times and she says she sent the item but won’t provide any tracking. She just wants more money because it was more expensive than she thought. I still haven’t received and PayPal won’t let me go any further to dispute.

I did open a dispute and she provided no tracking number. I have asked her several times when and where she sent the item as I haven't received it yet. She just keeps telling me that I'm lying and she's not giving my money back. Paypal just closed the dispute as they didn't see anything wrong with it.

Hello @Ikeababe1011 and @penguininja, welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear a recent dispute didn't go as you had expected. Did you happen to open an Unauthorized Dispute on that transaction? If so, you may want to reach out to our Customer Support teams to see if the option to change the dispute type over to an Item Not Received dispute is available. 

 

I hope they're able to guide you a bit further on that case,
