Unrecognised pre-approved payments - don't know who they are from

Yesterday I noticed a pre-approved payment for £14.99 on my account to News UK & Ireland Limited.

I have a payment for £14.49 every month so had not noticed that this additional payment has been being taken from my account monthly since December to a total value of £59.96.

I cancelled it and put in a ticket to the fraudulent payments team, but they have said it was not fraudulent.

I have googled News UK & Irleand and discovered they own several media companies.

I cannot think of what this could be for and have no idea how to find out.

Can anyone give me any advice as, to the best of my knowledge, I have not subscribed to any news related services and would like to contest these payments.

I cannot clearly see how to ask PayPal for more information on what the payments were supposedly for anywhere.

Check if you had a subscription set up.
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
