Verify your address

I cannot get paid any money because PayPal says I first need to “verify my address”. I’m pretty sure I put my address as the same as my billing address and I definitely used the correct address. I have not moved houses. To confirm my address, it is asking me for any of these documents: utility bill, council rate, bank statement, tax return/assessment, or Centrelink statement. I do not have any of these documents. It says it needs the verification because “you tried to use credit data for verification but datazoo, equifax, or both couldn’t find a match, or if you opted out”

Hello @durn84,

Welcome to our community help forum and thank you for your post!

I understand that you may not have documents needed to upload in the Resolution Center. For regulatory reasons, we need to confirm our customer’s personal information (such as your name, address, and date of birth). To verify your address, you have to upload the requested documents in the resolution center of your PayPal account. In this case, you can provide the required information by typing it there itself, either in pdf format or it could be a word document. Once you upload that, our concerned team will review it and respond soon. You can also reach out to our team through the available contact options at the bottom of PayPal page or message us through Twitter or Facebook page for any additional assistance.

I hope this information helps,

Bindu

Okay but I literally don’t have any of the documents asked for. Does everybody have to verify their address in the same way? Providing my address should be enough, but I have to do this because “I tried to use credit data for verification but datazoo, equifax, or both couldn’t find a match, or if you opted out.” I don’t know what that means. I must have made a mistake somewhere or datazoo and equifax did. Btw I’m from Australia if that helps any Thanks for your response
