What should I set order status of the tracking information to?

An AliExpress seller seriously messed up an order to me. For me to return it, they sent money via PayPal, however it seems it is labelled as being for goods and/or services. I've read that a common scam by AE sellers is to later claim the goods/services were not received by them, and claim the money back.
Needless to say, the money was used to send the item back to the seller via UPS. The item is now with the seller and tracking confirms this.
What I'm not sure of is which Order Status should I set in the Tracking Information? I have set it to "Returned", but I wonder if this means that the AE seller returned the "service/goods".
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear the issue with your purchase. I would recommend you to reach out to our team through the available contact options at the bottom of PayPal page and message us through Facebook or Twitter pages to get this checked further. Once the delivery of the returned item is confirmed, you'll be issued a refund. Refunds to bank accounts can take up to 5 days, while refunds to credit or debit cards can take up to 30 days.
