I am BEYOND frustrated with Paypal and their so-called customer service!
Firstly, my business account was closed as they state my business account does NOT follow an "Ideal" Business model and is considered a risky business. Despite my transparency, my account was CLOSED. I am an affiliated marketer, and I charge a fee to promote my client's products on my social media platform. Some clients choose to pay individually while others pay in bulk but 99.9% of payments are international payments. Due to my client's location, most are ONLY able to access PAYPAL to pay but yet these same clients inform me that once something goes wrong with his/ her account in China, they can create MULTIPLE accounts but yet, I reside in the USA with a legitimate business and is being debarred. WELL DONE PAYPAL!!!!
Two important things were said by the CSR when trying to resolve the issue of my business account.
1. I asked the CSR if they viewed my social media link to better understand my business and what I do. His response was, " No, they do not access such information" yet they have Facebook, Twitter, and other social media accounts but CAN NOT access the page I am associated with.
2. I requested a callback from a supervisor to help assist and to this day NO callback was ever RECEIVED. The same CSR informed me." Do NOT expect a callback as it would be considered a WASTE of my TIME.". WASTE of my time that my business and livelihood were destroyed within minutes.
SUPERB responses PAYPAL !!!!
Not ONLY is my Business account CLOSED, but I have also PERMANENTLY dissolved my business as this is the main purpose of my business. NOT only did you destroy my livelihood, but my business was also destroyed even before it started! Each day that goes by, I kept on wondering if PAYPAL is this clueless and failed to update its user agreement to cater to ONLINE businesses and the new markets in the ONLINE world. Being an affiliated marketer you do need to look for ways in helping to boost your income.
Fyi, they even closed my family members' accounts.
My latest issue with them is I am unable to link my bank account to my personal account. WELL DONE PAYPAL!!!

Everyone who posts on here about being limited always says that they had broken no rules. However Paypal do not ban you for 0 reason. What would be the point? They make far more money from you using your Paypal account.
PayPal does review accounts regularly, and any concerns with security, violations of the User Agreement or Acceptable Use Agreement, compliance obligations, etc., could lead to a permanent restriction. Additional information beyond what would have been provided to you in a notification and/or email would not be available due also to security concerns and due to such information being proprietary....in other words they do not give you an exact reason, they just direct you to the user agreement or acceptable use policy. I guess having a reason wouldn't make any difference if they have permanently banned you.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

All information was provided INSTANTLY, yet they instantly chose to BAN the account. The account was ONLY active for approximately 3- 5 days! They fail to understand and cater to online businesses.

Not banning for zero reason is not the same as banning for an invalid reason, which what seems to be @Beyondangry1992 is complaining about.

Well they don't ban you for that either, may be invalid to the account holder but valid to Paypal when they do their risk assessment or you have breached the user agreement OR acceptable use policy.

I would advise researching Tiktok, and other social media platforms, where other users are experiencing similar problems where small businesses and personal accounts are being targeted. I provide an ONLINE advertising service to clients from China (mostly), and I believe Paypal thinks otherwise.
Advertising an item on social media ( not website) can be done within LESS than 1-3 mins, therefore an account can have multiple transactions as the turnover is quick.
Yet, they fail to understand and view all the information provided ( social media platform link).
Constantly being told you violate the user agreement does NOT cut as I do NOT know what was violated. If a better explanation and clarity were provided, I would have understood.
You may not sympathize and understand how one feels until it affects your livelihood. To make matters worse, PAYPAL seems to limit the US accounts faster than international accounts. I know of situations where the same Chinese sellers scam others, and yet, the account to be penalized is the US account. They can create new accounts in a heartbeat and continue business operations, yet you're the one in hot water.
I hope the PAYPAL team reads this thread and tries to understand the new world that exists for affiliate marketers and make changes to help this because it's a matter of time before others in the field may experience the same issues I did.
