Why would someone ask for a screenshot of my PayPal

Someone is asking for a “screenshot of my app” to send/pay me money when i’ve already sent them my Paypal link. Are they trying to defraud me?

You never need to send a screenshot. They probably want to see it so that they can then fake one to send back to you to say that they have paid when they have not.

No funds in your paypal balance = you have not been paid, even if pending or on hold it would still show in your paypal balance and paypal activity / transaction list.
