I got an email with no "fake" looking email .com domain that you would normally look for.
The from email is a legit paypal domain.
But it has a different email in the body than mine and it is obviously something I have not triggered or am aware of doing myself. What's the deal with the legit paypal.com domain?
Hovering over the estimate button, even that domain looks legit. So what's going on?

The latest thing is bad actors misusing PayPal invoices or estimates feature, randomly sending them to users claiming they bought this, that or the other trying to prank/scam. It’s spam, basically. If you log on to your account independent of the email, you will probably see the invoice/estimate on your activity feed..
If you’re not expecting an invoice/estimate, you could ignore it or forward the email to the email address for reporting phishing emails found here:
How do I spot and report a fake, fraudulent, or phishing PayPal email or website?
and include a note that you received unsolicited, fake invoice from some random spammer and want it deleted from your account.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
