please help, i haven't got a clue what to do, can someone help?

i made a trade on a game on the 15/10/21 we agreed $35 for the item and he paid it with no questions asked. today i logged into my paypal to change preferred payment method and it says my balance is -£24.82. i gave him the item and have chat logs as proof, i contacted him a little while ago and he said "my paypal got hacked a week ago i lost access" again i have chatlogs to confirm this but i dont know how to go about this with paypal. any help would be massively appreciated.

Welcome to the PayPal community and thank you for your post.

 

If the buyer has filed a claim against a payment that was sent to you, I would advise you to respond to any emails you receive from PayPal requesting information from you regarding this payment.
