If you haven't been attempting to login, but you've been receiving a security code, normally that means someone is trying to access your account - but they wouldn't be able to without that code. Just to be on the safe side, I would recommend logging in and updating your password. You may also want to check your recent activity for anything you don't recognize. If you find anything suspicious, please report it at your earliest convenience through our Resolution Center.

I too have been getting this text, at 3 or 4 AM in the morning while I'm sleeping. So I know it's fraudulent. I updated my password, but am still getting them. What else can I do to protect myself other than closing my account?

I haven't linked my bank account, because I don't want to take the risk of hackers having access.
I haven't heard of Xoom. Will have to look into it.
