Aliexpress Scam and PayPal Indifferent

I've used Aliexpress for over 10 years and never really had a major issue. I purchased a tablet for $203.06 AUD and was a little hesitant but I trusted in the escro nature and dispute resolution of Aliexpress and I guess the fall back was to be PayPal, iron clad secure. The seller supposedly sent me the item which ran out of time for accepting delivery of which I hadn't yet received and the transaction was over. I checked with the seller who provided me with the tracking website being: https://auspost.com.au/mypost/beta/track/search and with the tracking number of: LB344958195SG , the reason I'm bothering to post the two details is because to THIS DAY, 3 months later, the item is still supposedly on it's way, proving I have NOT received the product. Aliexpress resolution declined my complaint stating that the seller has told them that I have received the item, and the iron clad fall back being PayPal, said that the seller had said the same, DESPITE me screen shotting the proof of which THEY can themselves verify by going to said link using that very same tracking number provided by this seller. I called the delivery medium being Australia Post and they said that they have not been handed thius item, and that it appeared sketchy. I think that Aliexpress and PayPal has gone so automated that someone with the smarts of simply using a loop hole in reporting or responding can have their way without an actual human checking. Certainly there's millions of transactions a day to check, but if that's what you are suppose to do in the long time frame you are provided, then due diligence is required. I can't trust either company moving forward and I have found no other option. That's the gamble you take with either company operating autonomously.

According to that tracking number, and the Australian Postal tracking site, it has indeed been scanned into their system.  It could be that Australia post has misplaced the item, it most definitely has been scanned in at some point.  I tried entering a bogus number, and it instantly told me that the number did not exist.  I would try contacting Australia post @ https://helpandsupport.auspost.com.au/s/missing-or-lost-item.

See what kind of response you get from them.  Not sure what else you could do as it seems the parcel was shipped, but somewhere somehow has been misplaced in shipping.

Yeah thanks mate, that was the first thing I did which was also suggested by the seller, I contacted Australia Post and as per what I said, the gentleman I'm the phone said it appears sketchy, but more in detail is that, something has arrived at customs but he cannot track the item and that 100% confirmed that it has. It been handed off to Australia Post, so Auspost definitely does not have it, but if I gave them the benefit of the doubt, the item is still not in my hands as per the agreement, furthermore, AliExpress and PayPal went with "It has been delivered" when it's contrary to the tracking, so how can they be so nonchalant about the matter. I checked the sellers page for the product listing and it's closed down, the seller rating has plummeted from 92% to 77% and they're only new since July 2023 with no products listed anymore in their page and finally, those who did actually received the tablets said it's not a legitimate Xiaomi with specifications that do not meet the advertised listing with photos to provide. So in the end, receiving the item or not would result in the same disappointment and loss of money. It's disappointing that the dispute system appears to be token with no substance or actual people to investigate. Losing one customer is one thing but that eventually snowballs. The lesson for me here is, due diligence for myself, check reviews, check tenure, with the old adage, "If it's too good to be true". Thanks for the response but yeah, I've checked with Auspost and the operator himself said the transaction was suspicious.

I tried again, they are asking for a delivery address this time to match it with what is in their system.  Auspost definetly has it as it is now logged into their system with a delivery address attached to it.   I would try to track it from your end again
