Avast antivirus blocking PayPal access

In the past few days, I've noticed that when I try to connect to any site that uses PayPal, I get a popup from my Avast antivirus software that says:
We've safely aborted connection on paypal-dynamic-cdn.map.fastly.net because it was infected with URL:Mal
Status: Connection aborted
I get this when trying to checkout with PayPal on some Website, when visiting the home page of my own retail Website, or when I visit the PayPal home page itself.
I've added the URL to the "exceptions" list in Avast, but it blocks access every time, just the same.
I've contacted Avast about the matter and let them know that it's a false positive. Unfortunately, PayPal doesn't seem to have an easy way to contact them to let them know about this. Seems kind of pointless to give them a lengthy URL over the phone. Perhaps they'll see this.
Just an FYI. I guess I'll just turn the Avast Web shield off when necessary.

We have exactly the same issue and cannot complete payments via Paypal, we can via the card option.
This has been going on for weeks!
