Buyee Paypal Dispute

Hi, I recently bought some items through a japanese shipping proxy called buyee. I recently received them and it turns out that the items were fake, when it didn't state it anywhere on the listing or profile. I contacted buyee and they say that customers are not eligible for refund even if the item is fake. I'm thinking of disputing through paypal, is there anyway I can win even though they state that as their policy? If there's a low chance of winning then I would rather not risk it because they seem to ban anyone that disputes even if the customer is right.

If you can get written proof from a company or store that sells the genuine item then that would help in the event of a claim.
If not put in as much information as possible and then allow the time for the seller to reply but make sure you escalate to a claim before the 20 days is up.
If paypal find in your favour then you would probably be requested to return the item back to the seller at your expense and trackable to prove delivery before you get a refund. BUT if you have obtained and provided that written proof they 'may' tell you not to return and just issue a refund.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hello @ligonis24,
Welcome and thank your for posting your concern.
We are sorry to hear about the issue with your order and we understand how frustrating this must be for you. Kindly file a dispute for the transaction. By filling a dispute you can contact seller to resolve your issue. Often, contacting the seller directly is the quickest way to resolve the problem. However, if you are unable to reach a solution and having doubts regarding the order and seller activity, you have the option to escalate the matter to a claim.
For further assistance, I recommend reviewing the relevant help centre article such as How do I open a dispute with a seller?, Dispute filing timeframes, & How do I escalate a PayPal dispute to a claim? for more detailed information
I hope that helps!
warm Regards,
Shradha
