PayPal charges for an Amazon purchase although payment was made via a debit card effectively making it a double charge on the items. I was unaware PayPal was paying for the merchandise as I processed the payment using my Debit card. As a result I landed up with ‘late charges.’ payment through the Bank for the items as well as the charge made by PayPal. I paid PayPal as there is literally nothing one can do about it and late charges build up. I have disputed it with PayPal after I finally got to speak to someone. Have now to wait 60 days. Equally annoying is I was told it won’t help to cancel the PayPal card as charges will still be made when I use Amazon. I’ll have to start using EBay rather.
