Counterfeit items

I purchased 2 pair of what were supposed to be Judy Blue jeans, but what I received was 2 pair of counterfeit jeans that were cheaply made and definitely not Judy Blues! I have went back and forth with the seller with them offering me a $3 refund for one and $5 refund for the other pair. But I paid $33 for 1 pair and $45 for another pair. I have disputed the items as counterfeit and now the copy is saying that they will refund my money but only if I send them back to China on my dime. The return shipping to China will most me nearly as muc954.93h as I paid for the jeans.

I guess you purchased from a Social Media site like Facebook where these China websites that sell fake stuff mostly are?

Unfortunately as its not against the law to produce or sell counterfeit stuff in China, only illegal to import it (which is what the buyer does) then you would only get a refund on return of item as per paypals policy.

In the event of a dispute you choose your seller and not Paypal so you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you go ahead and buy from that seller / country.

Paypal state this >>
IMPORTANT: You may be required to return the item to the seller or other party we specify as part of the settlement of your claim. PayPal Buyer Protection does not entitle you to reimbursement for the return shipping costs that you may incur.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.

This just happened to me too. My question is was your counterfeit items from An Associates and also, has your issue been resolved? It seems mine came from New York but definitely possible they will want me to return them to China. Now I did not receive an email verification of my purchase or an email with my shipping information. I ordered off of TikTok, which I have done successfully before, and the advertisement was for Judy Blue jeans and included a boutique name. I felt comfortable ordering from a boutique. Then my purchases did not show up in my TikTok Shop purchase history and finally the payment came out of PayPal to An Associates. They were HORRIBLE counterfeits. The only contact information was a phone number on PayPal which goes straight to voicemail and nobody calls me back. Did fill out the report on Paypal but have to wait until February 27th to give the seller time to respond. Let me know your updates! And I understand how you feel. This has been a horrible experience.

Update? This just happened to me as well. Box was addressed from NYC just wondering if you ever got anywhere? I’ve been waiting almost a month for PayPal to “review the case” and haven’t heard anything.
